In the second quarter of 2022, the top five News and Magazines applications in Egypt demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bloomberg: Finance Market News saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $888 in the week of April 18 and ending the quarter with $680. Downloads experienced a high of 275 in the week of May 9, but dropped to 82 by the last week of June. Active users started strong with over 1K users but dipped to 835 by June 20, recovering slightly to 947 by the end of the quarter.

Medium had a relatively stable revenue, with minor fluctuations and a peak of $104 in late April. Downloads peaked at 491 in the week of May 9 and concluded the quarter with 279 downloads. Active users saw a steady decline from over 2K at the beginning of the quarter to 1.5K by mid-June, with a slight rise to 1.95K by the end of the period.

The New York Times experienced stable revenue, reaching a high of $130 in the week of June 20. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 319 in early May and ending the quarter at 165. Active users showed a gradual decrease from over 5K to 4K, with a slight recovery to 4.6K by the end of June.

Le Monde, Live News had modest revenue, peaking at $92 in mid-April. Downloads were highest at 69 in mid-May but dropped to 25 by the end of June. Active users gradually decreased from 550 at the start of the quarter to 447 by the last week of June.

The Guardian - News & Sport showed a peak in revenue of $57 in mid-May. Downloads reached a high of 173 in the week of May 23 but fell to 56 by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a decline from over 1K to 821 by mid-June, with a slight increase to 916 in the final week of June.
